Advance Care Planning
Palliative care social worker and death doula available for consultation and collaboration
My experiences as a combat veteran have shaped my opinions and thoughts on death and morality. I truly believe that we are not promised the next breath and living in the now, with a healthy understanding of the dying process, is the best way to prepare for our own end.
My path into deathcare has been shaped by both lived experiences and formal training. Blending my background in social work with integrative and creative modalities like therapeutic horticulture, herbalism, breath and movement practices, and ritual, I provide emotional, spiritual, and practical support for dying, grief, and loss. Whether companioning someone at the end of life, teaching chair yoga to caregivers, or leading grief gardening workshops, I strive to hold a gentle and grounded space for finding our way through the hard stuff of life.
Hi, I’m Shiri, an end-of-life doula with a focus on education, advanced care planning, self-advocacy training, life stories and legacy work, and vigil and funeral/celebration of life planning. My goal is to provide each client with the tools you’ll need to live as you wish until your final moment and to be remembered in the way that best suits your vision of a legacy.
